The following is a tribute to Fred (Freddy) Gaudet, a member of St. Jean-Baptiste Choir for over half a century. Although he is no longer with us, his lyrical tenor voice can still thrill us thanks to modern technology. The following selections were gleaned from old reel-to-reel tapes provided by Billy Champigny and Roger Leger, cassettes from Ted Dupuis via his son Joe, and analog/digital material from yours truly. I tried to clean these up as much as possible.
The selections include: the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria, Shubert's Ave Maria, Le Voici L'agneau Si Doux, The Lord's Prayer, Panis Angelicus, O Holy Night, Scene & Prayer from Cavaleria Rusticana arranged by Albert Gingras, and, Nouvelle Agreable.
